AMAZING HOSTEL. DEFINITELY WORTH THE STAY. FANTASTIC DOUBLE ROOM. VERY CLEAN. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL BUT NOT OVER BEARING. PLACE HAS GREAT CHARACTER AND VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION.

Fantastic hostel - does exactly what it says on the tin. Feels like a cosy home. We had the double bedroom. Much nicer than any budget hotel although noisy next to the kitchen. Highly recommended

What an amazing hostel! Perfect location right near the metro and a main street, no lockout or curfew, and wonderful staff. The rooms are adorable and comfortable. Definitely would go back here again! :)

The staff really makes any stay here pleasant, they are lovely people and their hospitality and helpfulness are what ill really remember this hostel for. That and the great rooms, and excellent coffee from the espresso machine..would definitely recommend this place

This Hostel is one of the best Hostels I have stayed in Europe. It had a great homey atmosphere, was spotlessly clean and was in a great location. It was unique. The kitchen was a bonus and I would definitely recommend this Hostel to anyone.

I wish I was still there! The staff is excellent, the hostel is more like a home and so welcoming. A really good place to meet other people, especially if you're travelling on your own like me. My only complaint would be the beds were a bit hard, but I didn't mind cause the place was just so nice. Highly recommend being there for the free dinner on Tuesday nights: great food and nice way to meet others.

Staff was fantastic! Went out of their way to make sure I had a pleasant stay, and cooked the most fantastic (and huge) meal for us one night.

this place is just great! the rooms are really spacious and have a lovely furniture, not like all the other cheap standard places. the staff was very nice and helpful. "home made" is definitely among the best hostels in Europe.

This place is fantastic, the location is amazing, it’s cosy, comfy and spotless. We were not after a stag/hen do type atmosphere so the quiet and considerate nature of this hostel and our fellow tenants was perfect. Don’t go if you want to make noise all night and party as you will ruin it for the likes of us!!! Have fun! B xxx

Awesome hostel, great environment and very friendly staff. Jimmy was such a pleasure to chat with while relaxing after a big day of sight seeing. He was a great help with sights, directions and info on local cuisine...I would definitely recommend this hostel as a funky, chilled out place to stay. The four bed room is just fantastic with comfy beds and a quirky design. Certainly felt more like a home then a hostel. Would not stay anywhere else in Budapest...cheers to Home Made Hostel

I liked the location of this hostel, it was easy to get to and right in the centre of everything. The hostel had a great atmosphere and I felt very at home.

Great location, very helpful staff (they spent ages trying to help me when the train strike hit!). Not a place to party hard, but nice, cosy, homely feel in good, central location with clean kitchen and bathrooms. Thanks!
